YCL-255 Standard Bb Clarinet Bb Clarinet. The Yamaha YCL-255 is a newly designed Bb Clarinet with matte ABS resin body, nickel plated silver key, 65mm barrel and adjustable thumb rest. The YCL-255 combines cutting-edge production expertise with high-end Yamaha clarinet functionality.

The result is an excellent entry level instrument that offers a warm and resonant tone that is remarkably similar to a wooden clarinet. With a matte finish ABS resin that mimics the wooden clarinet look and an adjustable thumb rest with neck strap ring, you can easily hold the instrument even with a small hand.

The new adjustable thumb rest accommodates hands of varying sizes to help players develop appropriate playing skills. In addition, the strap ring allows you to secure the instrument without any extra effort. Hard screws and silver solder rings provide exceptional durability in this new feature. The new varieties of YCL-255 are made of rugged, durable ABS resin, producing a lighter instrument with improved response. The resonance chamber in the bell helps the projection and improves the pitch at low notes.
