In fact has barely been played so it's as new as new can be but I have described it as used because it has been, albeit minimumly. The Jupiter 750 is priced New around the same price as a Buffet Crampon E11. However, it is considerably better made, modelled on both the Buffet Crampon Prestige range with the metal tenon rings and also on the top of the range Yamaha clarinet with the raised throat G hole for better tuning. It also has an adjustment screw on the bottom cluster so that you can adjust the regulation yourself without the need for a Woodwind Technician. This will save you a fortune over the life time of the Clarinet. Not bad for a student intermediate range clarinet. The reviews of the Jupiter clarinet has finally supported what I and other repairers have said for years.

A great deal many more teachers are now recommending these clarinets to their students. The quality of the Grenadilla wood is better than the Buffet equivalents which are covered in thick dye to hide the imperfections in the immature wood and also to prevent them cracking. Even the adjustable thumb rest is more comfortable than most Buffet clarinets I've played, including my own. The Mouthpiece too, is considerably better than the standard Buffet Crampon mouthpiece.

If you want a top quality wooden clarinet at fantastic price, and can get over the snobbery attached to owning a Buffet, then this clarinet is for you. And for any sceptics out there who think that Chinese made clarinets are not up to the mark, you may be interested to know that Buffet have now started to manufacture their student lower intermediate range Clarinets in China.

This clarinet feels extremely comfortable and plays beautifully. The tuning is outstanding and better than most other clarinets in its class and even those priced a great deal more. The case too is exceptionally clean, slimline with enough storage space for your reeds and other bits.

On that note, if you are new to the clarinet or if you don't already have the usual accessories: Cleaning cloth, cork grease, reeds etc, let me know and I'll include them free. I will also undertake any adjustments (or talk you through them) free of charge so you have complete peace of mind. Remember, the clarinet will be wiped with an anti baterial wipe so will be sterilised prior to dispatch. Again, not many other sellers do this.
