It is a reproduction of an original instrument by Stuehnwal from 1730, housed at the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum in Munich. It only plays in the fundamental harmonic range. It has an A key and a speaker key to play Bb, and by holding both keys together, you can play B natural. Crafted from Indian Cocobolo wood, the body of the clarinet boasts durability and aesthetic appeal.
The keys are casted from brass, steel springs with best suitable pads. It is designed to be used with a special Bb clarinet mouthpiece. Any standard Bb clarinet reed can be used by trimming the length from the bottom end of the reed. Additionally, accessories such as a plush lined protective case, extra set of pads, fingering chart and cleaning cloth are provided.
