Unstained Grenadilla - The Festival uses a premium, unstained Grenadilla compared to the dyed Grenadilla used on the R13. In the end, we do not feel that this has any true performance difference, but when you are paying a premium price, it is nice to be able to SEE the quality of the wood. The wood used on the Festival is always gorgeous. Left Hand Eb Lever - The Festival adds on the auxiliary left hand Eb/Ab key. While this doesn't impact the sound of the clarinet, it can be a very helpful key as it simply gives you the ability to finger the note another way which can be beneficial in certain passages. Some players might not prefer the feel of the left hand pinky cluster due to this key however.

Buffet did design the key mechanism so that it is easily removed by the user without impacting.
