Fully Serviced Perfectly Adjusted Impeccably Clean, Polished & Sterilised Buffet Crampon B12 Bb ABS resin student clarinet. The B12 is by far the most popular student clarinet of all time, and for good reason. Free blowing, light and comfortable to hold, this is by far the best choice of starter clarinets in my opinion. This one has been fully serviced, cleaned, polished and perfectly adjusted and set up. This means that it's clean, safe to use and every lever and mechanism works and moves perfectly.

All corks are in place, all pads in excellent clean condition and seat perfectly, no double action anywhere, and all three regulation keys, perfectly regulated. You don't get this level of perfection and professionalism with the vast majority of clarinets bought second hand. This is a used clarinet, and as such there are minor signs of use, light scratches and such like in places which are purely cosmetic. The silver key work is perfect, the tenon corks are just right, the mouthpiece is impeccably Clean with no chips or bite marks, and the clarinet plays perfectly.

In fact, I wizzed through a few of my old pieces during a final test play, and you can't help thinking how refreshing it is to play a lighter instrument where you don't have to constantly work hard and adjust! This is exactly why the B12 is highly recommended by the vast majority of teachers.

I have included a used, but clean (washed at 40oC) original Buffet pull-through, Buffet Crampon cork grease, a thumb rest cushion and a soft reed so you have everything you need to get started. I've even put a new mouthpiece patch on the mouthpiece.

There may be cheaper clarinets out there but look closely. You might not be able to spot the faults from the pictures as I can, but you can see the crap and grime build up in the chimneys. If you can see that, then you know you're in trouble! They aren't to know that the clarinet may have had a knock, is missing pads, and simply doesn't work.

By the time your child can get a note out of it, you've passed the period in which you can initiate a return. So why take a chance in the first place. And apart from that, why anyone would want to give a completely disgusting unhygienic and unplayable clarinet to their child to shove in their gob is beyond me.

Take a look at the very last picture of a student clarinet described as'Excellent Condition. If not, I often undertake the repair or adjustments for free. In fact, I was contacted a few weeks ago by a parent who had bought a B12 from me about 5 years ago looking to upgrade to an intermediate level instrument.

His child's B12 gave 5 years of daily use without a single issue. True it looked horrendous, but it got the player through several early grades with Distinctions.
